Future Machine Girls — site information

Privacy Policy

The short version

This is a small editorial site with no accounts, no logins, no shopping basket and no newsletter. There is very little to collect and we do not sell any of it.

What is collected

  • Server logs. Our host records ordinary request data — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, browser and operating system string. This is how any web server works. Logs are used for security and to see which pages are read, and they are discarded on a rolling basis.
  • Aggregate analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics that count page views and referring sites without building a profile of an individual visitor across the web.
  • Email you send us. If you write to the editorial address, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to answer it and to keep a record of a correction.

What is not collected

No names, addresses, payment details or travel plans, because nothing on this site asks for them. There is no booking form, no account and no payment processing anywhere on the domain.

Cookies

The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Fonts are loaded from a third-party font service, which means your browser makes a request to that service in order to render this page; that provider will see your IP address as part of that request.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise pass personal data to advertisers, hotels, data brokers or anyone else. There is no advertising network on this domain.

Opting out

Blocking cookies and scripts in your browser will not stop you reading anything here — the site works fully without them. Browser-level tracking protection or an extension will also suppress analytics. If you have written to us and want your email deleted from our records, ask at editors@futuremachinegirls.org and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the revised version will appear on this page. We do not maintain a mailing list, so there is nobody to notify.
